Selwyn Council approved the appointment of Rick Dunford to the position of Manager of Public Works.   Mr. Dunford brings with him over 25 years of experience.  Rick began as an Equipment Operator for the then Smith Township and has progressed through the Public Works Department as a Lead Hand and has spent the last 8 years in the position of Public Works Supervisor.

“Rick has proven himself to be very dedicated to the Township and has vast knowledge of the public works operations and the community.  This, along with his positive approach in working with both the Department and Township teams and members of the public, will be invaluable as the Department continues to move forward to meet the opportunities ahead.” states Janice Lavalley, Township of Selwyn CAO

Mr. Dunford will begin his position on March 25, 2017. Mr. Dunford will replace Stephen Crough who will be retiring after 36 years of service to the Township in March.   Mr. Crough who also began his career as an Equipment Operator for the then Ennismore Township also progressed through the ranks to become the Township’s Manager of Public Works in 2008.  Mr. Crough is planning to enjoy his retirement in his hometown of Ennismore working on his family farm and looking forward to enjoying time with his family and friends.
