New Librarian at Ennismore Library

Selwyn's CEO/Chief Librarian, Joan MacDonald is retiring effective July 31, 2017. Sarah Hennessey will be replacing Joan. As a result a vacancy opened up for a Librarian position within the Library.
The Librarian position was posted internally however, the internal posting did not identify any interested candidates. As a result, the position was posted externally. The interview committee consisted of: Joan MacDonald, CEO/Chief Librarian, Sarah Hennessey, the incoming CEO/Chief Librarian, Kim Berry, HR Coordinator.
According to Berry’s report to Council, the committee was very pleased with the quality of the responses they received from the external posting, as well as the quality of several of the candidates they interviewed. The interview process concluded with Robyn Mann being the successful candidate and she will begin her duties as Librarian at the Ennismore Library branch on Monday July 17, 2017.
Kim Berry noted that Robyn holds a Masters of Library and Information Sciences degree from the University of Western Ontario and has experience working in library and education related environments, including the Pickering Public Library, the Toronto Public Library and Trillium College. “Most recently Robyn held the position of Information Services Technician within the Pickering Public Library system and her passion for reading and libraries, matched with her professional, gentle and approachable style, makes her a great addition to the team!” Mann commented.
