The next step in the realization of the new medical centre took place on Friday at the Foundation office located on Queen Street in Lakefield.

The Foundation office was closed from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to accommodate the presentations.
Thirteen firms submitted tenders for the job, however only six firms were asked to present on Friday. Three out of the six firms are from the region.
The six firms that made live presentations were Greg Gordon Architect, Lett Architects Inc., Shoalts and Zaback Architects Inc., Kasian Architecture Ontario Inc., NORR Limited Architects and Engineers and the Barden and Robinson Corporation.
The Architect Selection Committee will make a decision on the architect within the week and present its choice to the Foundation Board for approval.
