Kawartha Lake Stewards meeting in Buckhorn
The Kawartha Lake Stewards Association will hold its annual spring meeting Saturday, May 10 at the Buckhorn Community Centre from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
KLSA was recently awarded $50,000 by the Ontario Trillium Foundation to conduct research into the problem of aquatic weeds in the Kawartha Lakes.
Dr. Eric Sager of Trent University will be on hand to outline what form the project will take this summer.
Volunteers for the 2008 water testing program will be given their test kits, and a demonstration of proper methodology will be provided for new volunteers.
